Mt. Hope Singers and Colin Pritchard
May 11 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
A benefit concert in the Historic Calvary St. Andrew’s Sanctuary at the ROC SALT Center.
The Mount Hope World Singers, (MHWS), of Rochester, New York, is a community chorus rooted in the harmony singing of world song traditions. The chorus was formed in 2013 through an initiative and with the support of South Presbyterian Church to celebrate the rich diversity of world cultures and to foster community in the midst of that diversity. The Mount Hope World Singers is part of the Network of Ministries of South Presbyterian Church.
Rev. Colin Pritchard is the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Victor (NY), a 1001 New Worshipping Communities national coach, graduate of Bates College, Colgate Rochester Crozier Divinity School, and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and a musician who has recorded two albums with plans for a third coming soon.
In the place between praise music and traditional hymns there are some songs that celebrate the honest joys and struggles of the journey of faith. This is the place where the music of Colin Pritchard lands. Sometimes playful, sometimes painful, the lyrics of his songs, and music of his guitar, ask questions, tell stories, and lift up hope. Living out his adventure in discipleship as a pastor, family man, coach, and faith community leader there are many smiles and prayers to share.
